We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Accountant to join our clients growing Finance team!

Our client is a very successful PE backed group, who have a fantastic reputation within their sector. They now have an opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Accountant to take a lead role, reporting and working with the MD on one of their growing entities.

Key responsibilities:

  • This is a broad and varied hands-on role where you will play a critical role in the financial management of your entity. Working closely with the MD you will provide insightful analysis, supporting business decision-making.
  • Management accounts preparation - you will prepare and present monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecasts, providing detailed explanations for discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain financial models.
  • Business Partnering - you will be working closely with the MD of your entity to provide financial support and insights to drive performance and profitability of your entity.
  • You will assist with the financial and scenario modelling to support the review of new product launches and commercial performance analysis.
  • You will provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Monitor product (KPIs) and financial metrics, and report on financial performance.
  • Analyse cost and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit VAT and corporation tax returns.
  • Support with other ad hoc group finance projects.

Key skills:

  • Fully Qualified
  • This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Strong Excel skills with data manipulation and financial modelling
  • Power BI experience would be desirable.
