PART-TIME HOURS

SALARY: £72,800 pro rata / £35 per Hour
LOCATION: Liverpool, Merseyside, North West England (100% Office Based)

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an experienced fractional Financial Controller to support a retail business in Liverpool.
The company is a growing SME with the basics of the finance function covered but require a commercially minded Financial Controller to provide them with greater visibility around the financials and help them grow further.
This will be a hands-on position, and as the Financial Controller your responsibilities include dealing with budgets, forecasts and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
As a successful candidate you will be an experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Preferably, you are already self-employed (or happy to transition to self-employed) and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Your expertise should include:
- Management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Budgets, cashflow and profit forecasting
- Experience and working knowledge of Xero (If you also have experience with QuickBooks and/or Sage50 as well that would be great)
- Experience of managing and leading a small team
- Experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls
- Year-end processes (but not statutory accounts)
- Experienced excel user including pivots, sumifs and graphs
- Proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders
- You must be fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACMA /FCCA / ICAEW) or QBE with experience managing a finance team
The company cannot offer sponsorship to overseas workers. Applicants must have UK-based experience as a Financial Controller.
