Salary up to £40,000
We are currently looking for an Applications Development Engineer for a market-leading manufacturing company based in Liverpool. The comapany has been around for over 20 years working with clients across the globe!
As an Applications Development Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and developing our diverse product portfolio, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation.
What You'll Do:
- Innovate and Test:Lead the experimental testing and development of new products.
- Electronics Development:Design and test electronic components to enhance our products.
- Software Development:Develop and test embedded software and user interfaces.
- Data Collection:Perform performance characterization and collect critical data.
- Customer Engagement:Conduct industry trials, product demos, and provide on-site customer training and troubleshooting.
- Compliance and Safety:Ensure all work meets engineering specifications and promotes a culture of safety.
- Collaborate:Assist in various R&D and company-wide activities.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
- A-Level in Maths or Physics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year as an Electronic Engineer
- Minimum of 1 year in automation
- Desirable: Experience in the vacuum engineering industry and customer-facing roles
Skills and Aptitudes:
- High proficiency in IT systems
- Innovative design thinking
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Solution-driven mindset and excellent report writing skills
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel internationally
- Desirable: Background in Physics or Mathematics, knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, microelectronics design, and programming languages (BASIC, C++, Visual Basic)
