My client, one of Liverpool's leading household brands, are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager (15m FTC) to join their stunning Liverpool head office.

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager for a maternity cover contract of 12-15 months. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic finance team, focusing on the production and analysis of insightful management information. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring transparency of all costs, understanding key drivers, and maximising profitability. This role provides a unique chance to build effective relationships across the business, identify cost-effective opportunities, and contribute significantly to the financial planning of the business.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading your team towards achieving high efficiencies and delivering insightful management information. You will be at the forefront of ensuring cost transparency, understanding key drivers, and identifying opportunities for cost-effectiveness. Your leadership will extend to supporting your team in their personal development, improving both behavioural and technical skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the financial planning of the business.

  • Develop, coach, and mentor direct reports to deliver high team efficiencies.
  • Lead in the production and analysis of insightful management information.
  • Ensure transparency of all costs and understand key drivers within the business.
  • Encourage challenge from within the team and foster effective relationship building across the business.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to be more cost-effective and maximise profitability.
  • Support the team in producing relevant analysis and investigation of cost variances.
  • Review processes and policy adoption to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
  • Contribute significantly to the financial planning of the business including short term rolling views, biannual budgets, and multi-year business plan assumptions.

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight timescales.
  • Proven ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Confident and assertive with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
