The School and Role

Vision for Education are excited to offer a Trainee Cover Supervisor Programme for enthusiastic and reliable individuals looking to begin a rewarding career in education. This programme is designed for those with experience working with young people (e.g., in coaching, tutoring, youth work, childcare or similar) who want to step into classroom-based roles but may not yet have direct school experience.

Successful candidates will be invited to attend a dedicated training day at our Vision Liverpool office, where you will gain a full understanding of the Cover Supervisor role, including:

  • Safeguarding and professional conduct in schools

Once you have completed the training, you will be fully prepared to begin work as a Cover Supervisor across a range of vibrant and supportive secondary schools.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Ensure students remain on task with pre-prepared work

  • Create a calm and focused learning environment

  • Encourage independent learning and positive behaviour

  • Support schools with general duties such as breaktime supervision or form activities

You will not be expected to plan or mark work, but confidence, adaptability and strong behaviour management are essential.
