Due to considerable growth plans, we have a newly created HR Advisor role, which will involve complimenting the existing HR Team to support its growth and strategy objectives set by Surface Transforms and its stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing as our HR Advisor:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all Employee Relations matters.
  • Manage case resolutions (opening, updating, escalating as needed, resolving and closing).
  • Coach managers on HR topics and subjects.
  • Data driven HR able to produce quality reports and presentations.
  • Manage HR data quality and perform transactions within HR systems.
  • Ensure adherence to HR procedures, practices, directives, systems and regulations.
  • Design and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Manage function appraisals schemes.
  • Support training & change management activities, especially for frontline employees.
  • Own and support on HR deliverables and projects.
  • Guide employees and leaders in using self-service HR systems.
  • Assist in organising employer initiatives – engagement and branding.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to L&D, recruitment and OD when needed.
  • Provide general HR support to employees around the employee life cycle and provide guidance on HR knowledge content.
  • Support and guide HR Coordinator.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our HR Advisor:

  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and commercially minded.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to manage conflict, and attention to detail.
  • Drive to identify needs, investigate options, seek solutions and partner with other HR colleagues to resolve issues.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Closure orientation and low tolerance for delays and deviation.
  • Ability to design clear and fair company policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude.
  • Driven and determined.
  • Practical and logical, able to solve problems quickly.

Need to have:

  • Degree in Human Resources or CIPD L5
  • Over 5 years’ experience within an Advisor position
  • Experience working with HR systems

Nice to have:

  • Held a HR related role within a Manufacturing, FMCG or similar environment
