- Collaborate within a multi-skilled environment alongside Electrical/Control Engineers.
- Liaise with engineering to resolve problems related to fit, function, or design.
- Actively promote 5s principles within the assembly area to ensure efficiency and organization.
- Conduct inspections of mechanical parts, main fabrications, and vessels at supplier facilities.
- Coordinate the return of non-conforming parts to stores for modification in alignment with Goods Inwards.
- Work safely at all times, adhering to health and safety requirements.
- Report non-conformances through established quality systems.
- Perform mechanical pre-commissioning tests to ensure equipment functionality.
- Provide support to the Production Manager in daily activities and deliver regular updates.
- Assist in off-site installations as required.
- Completion of a time-served Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship is essential.
- Hold an HNC or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering.
- Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance role is preferred.
- Experience with pressure vessels and testing is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and P&ID’s.
