Manufacturing & Facilities ManagerLiverpool£55,000 + Car Allowance

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a global pharmaceutical company as a Senior Manager responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and facilities departments.

The company are forward thinking with exciting growth plans and you will be an integral part of the continued success as they expand their operations both in the UK and Europe.

The Role:

  • Coordinate departmental activities to ensure consistent high standards to meet customer demand
  • Capacity Planning including scheduling, resource and environment within the departments under your remit.
  • Drive continual improvement and process improvement using Lean practices.
  • Manage the Facilities team ensuring UK and European facilities are fit for purpose.
  • Liaise with contractors to initiate repairs and implement improvements within the facilities and make sure Company Health and Safety procedures and policies for external contractors/visitors are followed
  • Manage building maintenance contracts (including tariffs), utilities contracts (including waste disposal) and supervise contractors on site
  • Develop and maintain Service and Maintenance Contract database
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in the delivery of the strategic direction of the company
  • Identify areas of improvement for opportunities to adopt more sustainable processes
  • Ensure supervision of staff awareness of Health and Safety procedures, including any additional requirements for department specific equipment within your remit.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Working knowledge within the pharma industry (preferable)
  • Experience of operational management in a customer focussed environment
  • Recognised academic qualification or significant working practice in , Electrical or Facilities Management required
  • Practised in process and systems analysis including Lean Manufacturing - Lean Manufacturing Qualifications (e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.) essential
  • Working Knowledge of cGMP ISO: 9001 quality systems or regulatory environment.
  • Effective motivational and problem solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Risk Management
