Regional Health and Safety Advisor required by a specialist utility and infrastructure support services company. You will provide specialist Health and Safety advice to project teams across the North West region for cable installations and the upgrade of overhead KV power lines.

Duties

Ensure Client complies with the national statutory Health and Safety requirements.

Enhance, improve and implement the existing construction safety management programme and procedures.

Provide a review and oversight of construction Health and Safety management procedures, cross- evaluation of projects, sharing lessons learned / best practice, and driving continuous improvement.

Assist in the identification and management of high-risk activities, working with contractors in forward safety planning.

Review and assess the health and safety implications of changes during construction projects.

Develop, implement and report Health and Safety management performance for each project.

Carry out Health and Safety audits.

Monitor compliance.

Assessment of accidents, incidents and near-miss reporting.

Experience

Experience in liaising with design teams and other project professionals. Strong communication skills with associated excellent reporting skills.

Qualifications

NEBOSH General as a minimum, ideally progressing to diploma or equivalent level Health and Safety Qualifications.

GradIOSH or CMIOSH status with demonstrable previous experience gained with an electrical utilities or construction contractor.
