Principal Planning Officer Vacancy - Knowsley Borough Council

Knowsley Borough Council is seeking an experienced Principal Planning Officer to join our team on a temporary contract with a strong possibility of extension.

As Principal Planning Officer, you will lead on complex and high-profile planning applications, contributing directly to the growth and regeneration of Knowsley. Working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, you will have the opportunity to influence major developments, work closely with key stakeholders, and support the wider planning team.

-Location: Huyton Library, Knowsley, L36 9GD (Hybrid)-Contract: Temporary (Initially 3 Months)-36 Hours/per week

What we are looking for:-Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.-Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), or eligibility to apply.-Substantial experience in development management or planning policy, preferably in a local authority setting.-Excellent understanding of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
