As the Assistant Merchandiser:
- Supporting your merchandiser with the day to day of reporting
- Stand in for your merchandiser when they are out of office
- Responsibility to own a category or areas
- Building and managing range plans and other delivery tools
- monitoring and managing stock levels
- Proposing solutions for stock transfers, phasing or cancellations
- Overseeing the critical path and delivery schedule with the wider team
- Understanding store plans and store grading: desired, not essential
- Reviewing seasonal and seasonal buys, including seasonality, stock plans
- Trade your areas efficiently
- forecast and plan new buys or repeats based on historic data, cover and committed stock value
- Review and action promotions and mark downs
- Communicate with internal buying teams, as well as logistics and supply chain
