As the Assistant Merchandiser:

  • Supporting your merchandiser with the day to day of reporting
  • Stand in for your merchandiser when they are out of office
  • Responsibility to own a category or areas
  • Building and managing range plans and other delivery tools
  • monitoring and managing stock levels
  • Proposing solutions for stock transfers, phasing or cancellations
  • Overseeing the critical path and delivery schedule with the wider team
  • Understanding store plans and store grading: desired, not essential
  • Reviewing seasonal and seasonal buys, including seasonality, stock plans
  • Trade your areas efficiently
  • forecast and plan new buys or repeats based on historic data, cover and committed stock value
  • Review and action promotions and mark downs
  • Communicate with internal buying teams, as well as logistics and supply chain
