We are seeking dedicated and compassionate children's home manager to join our clients' premium children's services located in the affluent Cheshire countryside. The homes, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Cheshire, provide a tranquil and nurturing environment for vulnerable children in need.


Our client is a leading provider of care services for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The organisation is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. We are currently in the process of registering a new 4-bed EBD children's home in Widnes, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead this service


Role Overview: As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and management of the children's home. You will lead a team of dedicated staff members, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided to all residents. Your primary goal will be to create a positive and empowering environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported to achieve their personal goals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of support staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each resident, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

  • Monitor the progress and well-being of the young people and implement interventions as necessary to support their development and address any issues.

  • Build positive relationships with young people, and external agencies, fostering a collaborative approach to care and support.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.


Requirements:


  • Previous experience working as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting, preferably with experience in EBD or a Therapeutic background

  • A relevant professional qualification in social care, such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
