SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Childwall, Liverpool
Pay: £88.92 - £100 Per day (salary depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a 2-form entry primary school based in Childwall.
This Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ school is seeking a compassionate, adaptable, and experienced individual to provide one-to-one support for a child in Year 2. The role requires someone skilled in supporting pupils with additional needs, including autism and ADHD, and who demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering positive behaviour, emotional well-being and safeguarding.
What We’re Looking ForThe successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children with additional needs such as autism and ADHD, as well as a calm, empathetic and patient approach to managing emotional and behavioural challenges. An understanding of child-centred approaches such as PACE and trauma-informed care would be highly beneficial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for working with the child, their family and the wider school team.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have experience working with children or young people, be proactive and personable with a positive attitude, and either hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
Desirable Training and QualificationsExperience working with children and young people with SEND is highly desirable, alongside a calm and resilient approach. Specialist training or experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD would be advantageous, as well as Mental Health First Aid Certification or knowledge of sensory integration strategies such as Sensory Circuits.
