The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to join our clients growing team based in the Llanelli area.


Contract: Permanent
Salary: £37,032 Including shift allowance
Hours of work: 37 hours per week: Rotating 3 shift pattern: Mon-Thurs 6am-2pm,2pm-10pm,10pm-6am / Fridays earlier finishes: 6am-11am,11am-4pm,4pm-9pm


You will be Responsible for: Provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas. Carry out Improvements, TPM, Schedule Maintenance on all equipment.


Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering Maintenance or similar
  • ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Prior knowledge and experience of hot stamping processes
  • Understanding on Laser operation and controls


Key Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship trained in Mechanical Engineering (multi-skilled)
  • Must have relevant experience with industry std repair equipment
  • Have multi-skilled maintenance experience with automated facilities
  • Experience in Mechanical circuits and control systems.

  • Mechanical Comprehension
  • Fault Finding
  • Health & Safety Awareness
  • Spacial Awareness
  • Numerical comprehension


Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety Awareness for all activities undertaken.
  • Communicate with Shift Supervisors to determine priority / urgency of a required repair
  • Determine whether spares are required
  • Feedback to Shift Supervisors
  • Complete relevant paperwork and fill in Pirana reports
  • Prepare for future jobs
  • Carry out any other duties, including overtime, relevant to the post which may arise.
  • Fault finding, undertake timely repairs of all equipment plus TPM.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices and observe safety rules at all times
  • Look at ways of improving equipment
  • Plan own workload
