Financial Controller

Job Description:

My client, an international Global Payment Provider, are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Financial Controller to join their Accounts team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the CFO to foster cost-efficient growth and ensuring the integrity of accounting information by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CFO to drive cost-efficient growth strategies.
  • Standardize processes and policies within the accounts department to align with group reporting.
  • Manage month-end closing activities, aiming to reduce the timeline to a 5-day close.
  • Lead the budgeting, re-forecasting, and year-end processes.
  • Contribute to group restructuring and financial data reporting into cost centers.
  • Conduct scenario-based stress testing and support sales with valuable forecasting data.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures across the group.
  • Oversee tax return preparation, including VAT & CT, and liaise with stakeholders for R&D reporting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with auditors and tax advisors, ensuring accurate data for reporting.
  • Assist the CFO with cash management and monitor actual vs. budgeted figures, highlighting significant variances.
  • Report financial data to regulators.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Sage Line 50.
  • Experience with Planful – Financial Performance Management Tool is beneficial.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Trustworthy with banking responsibilities and adept at managing workloads.
  • Articulate with high verbal reasoning abilities.
