JSS Search are partnered with an exciting client that offer bespoke events and hospitality services for Sports and Entertainment events, to recruit a Graduate Accountant/Finance Analyst.
The successful candidate will be supported financially to pursue CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification in their first 3 years in the role. He/she will spend time learning from all areas of the Finance team and develop a strong understanding of core financial and operational principles, providing a solid foundation for a long-term career. The company has a track record of promoting high performing staff, and promotion to Finance Manager after qualification is possible.
Person Specification
- 2:1 or higher Degree qualification
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels within Engage, together with our clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and to ensure the team meets its objectives and deadlines.
- Possess a pro-active attitude with an ability to take responsibility and feedback.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist with sales ledger operations, including cash allocation, debt collection and resolving customer and internal sales team queries.
- Assist with purchase ledger operations, including posting of purchase invoices, preparation of weekly payment runs, resolving supplier queries.
- Assist with calculation, tracking and processing of salary and commission calculations.
- Assist with preparation of HRMC returns, including VAT and PAYE.
- Assist Financial Controller with month/year end closing processes for all group entities.
- Assist Financial Controller in responding to auditor information requests.
- Assist Financial Planning and Operations Manager with monthly update of Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss and Cashflow budget and reforecast.
This role is flexible; a hybrid of London office (min 3 days/week) and home (1-2 days/week).
Base salary for this role is £28,000 plus bonus plus full study support for either CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
Target start date is flexible; but ideally between 1 May and 1 Jul 24.
