Are you an experienced and detail-oriented service charge accountant looking for a rewarding role in the residential property management sector? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Service Charge Accountant to join our client's experienced and long-standing team.Responsibilities:As a Senior Service Charge Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of residential property service charges.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Full-Service Charge Accounts: Develop and maintain comprehensive service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations, providing insightful analysis for decision-making.
  • Budgeting Process: Collaborate with property managers in the budgeting process, ensuring accurate financial planning, and alignment with the overall financial goals of the property.
  • System Work: Utilize accounting systems to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Supervision: Oversee and guide junior members of the team, ensuring their professional development and the overall success of the department.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with property managers, finance teams, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth financial operations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 experience in service charge accounting within the residential block management management sector.
  • Proficient in relevant accounting software and tools.
