We are looking for a talented Systems Accountant to join the growing team at a leading international defence company based in Portsmouth, Plymouth or Rosyth. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in maintaining our financial systems and ensuring their smooth operation.
We are particularly seeking candidates with either of the following backgrounds:
- AAT 3 qualified looking to move into a systems-based finance role.
- Experience in a systems-based role (e.g., ERP Analyst) looking to transition into a finance-focused position.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage and maintain our financial systems, including (but not limited to) experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Process financial data with accuracy and efficiency, utilising advanced Excel skills for data compilation and analysis.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, resolving queries and ensuring smooth system operation.
- Participate in system upgrades and implementations, offering expertise and support.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes.
What you'll bring:
- A strong aptitude for financial processes and data management.
- Proven experience working with SAP or other leading ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with formulas, functions, and data manipulation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
