My client a small retailer based in Central London are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their small team.Â
The duties are as below:Â
- Daily pricing of customer jobs and processing payments via online banking.
- Preparing metal transfers and performing daily bank reconciliations.
- Monitoring accounts email queries and responding in a timely manner.
- Conducting monthly petty cash and employee expenses reconciliations using an online system.
- Managing weekly supplier payment runs and multi-currency bank reconciliations.
- Handling monthly intercompany recharges and metal account statements and reconciliations.
- Assisting with month-end accounts preparation and year-end audit requests.
- Maintaining purchase ledger by entering invoices, remittances, and payment runs.
- Overseeing sales ledger by raising invoices, chasing overdue accounts, and credit control.
Candidate requirements
Good communication skills on all levels
Strong numeracy, quick learner on all systems
Capable of working in small busy office
Able to work on own, must be organised and able to prioritise workload
Must have Sage experience – using Sage 200 or Sage Line 150 currently.
Experience of using Databases, Microsoft word/excel, electronic banking
Previous accounting experience.
Hours are 9am-5pmÂ
Please note the role is fully in the office for 6-12 months then you may be able to work 1 day a week from home.Â
There is an annual bonus.Â
