We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic team in Wimbledon. This office-based role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong numerical skills, and a passion for maintaining accurate financial records. Day to Day of the role:
  • Process, control, and reconcile sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers.
  • Manage correspondence and liaise with clients regarding the purchase of exhibition insurance, scanners, and furniture.
  • Ensure accounting records in Xero align with the Sales CRM system and Fulfilment teams’ budgets.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements, including cash and expenses processing.
  • Conduct credit control reviews to assist with the collection of monies due to and payable by the business.
  • Generate reports in Xero/Excel to support the management information process.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns via MTD.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Director on the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Advanced Excel skills are beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organisation.
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately, and meet deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of management information systems.
  • Commercially astute with a dynamic and committed approach.
