Description
As Assistant Accountant your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the purchase and sales ledgers
- Reviewing expenses
- Month end accounting - prepayments, accruals, journals
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing P&L
- Monthly reconciliations
- Performing weekly payment runs
- Cash flow management
- Compiling VAT return forms
- Support on preparation of annual budget
- Work with Financial Controller on preparation for annual audit
Profile
The successful candidate will be:
- Actively studying towards accountancy qualification
- Strong demonstrable understanding of accounting (double entry, debits and credits)
- Previous experience managing P&L is essential
- Strong excel experience
- Proactive problem solver
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Offer
- £35,000 - £45,000 salary
