Assistant Financial Accountant PermanentLocated in NW6Office based role £40,000 - £50,000 per annum plus other benefits

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join an established business who are consistently growing based in the North West London area on a permanent basis.

You will be an integral part of the financial reporting team, focused on ensuring the accounting system is accurate, up-to-date and aligned with the applicable accounting standards, preparing the monthly management accounts, performing daily bank reconciliations and assisting with the statutory and different funding line audits.

Your duties will include:

  • Prepare daily bank reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are cleared timeously
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts to ensure optimal use of liquidity
  • Ensure the accounting system accurately and completely represents the nature of all transactions across all group entities (including prepayments and accruals)
  • Assist the Head of Finance with the development of and evolution of financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Prepare the monthly management accounting pack and ensure the financial information contained therein is of high quality and accurate
  • Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and be a point of contact for all balance sheet related queries and analysis
  • Support and assist the Head of Finance and the Head of Financial Operations with the statutory and funding line audits and ensure that all deadlines are met and address audit findings and recommendations in a timely manner
  • Work with the Head of Finance to ensure compliance with the applicable accounting standards and regulations

Key requirements:

  • Either at final stages or newly qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Experience in financial services highly desirable
  • Ability to deliver with exceptional levels of accuracy and has fanatical attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and driven to succeed
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications
