To assist with the student application and allocation process providing a front line
administrative support for a wide range of tasks relating to the delivery of an excellent
student experience. Including the waiting list process, preparation of letting
agreements and deposit management.
2. Assist in managing the process of contract transfers, reapplication and room moves
throughout the year.
3. Manage enquiries/bookings made by telephone, email, post and in person, and ensure
they are answered quickly and professionally and in line with agreed Service Level
Agreements.
4. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience and cultural awareness when
dealing with the diverse range of customers.
5. Work calmly under pressure, especially during summer months when phone calls and
email levels are high.
6. Updating records, either via our student management system (StarRez) or via
SharePoint spreadsheets, ensuring data is accurate at all times.
7. Providing reception cover as required.
8. To maintain an awareness of the activities carried out by the Housing Services Team,
dealing with enquiries as needed.
9. To actively follow and promote the University of London policies, including the
University's Dignity at Work and Equal Opportunities Policy and actively promote these
wherever possible.
10. Any other duties consistent with the scope of the post.
11. To maintain an awareness and observation of fire and health and safety regulations.
12. Any other duties reasonably required of the post holder by the reporting manager or
Housing Services Senior Management Team following consultation.
