Southwark Council is seeking a Business Support Officer to provide vital administrative support within our Licensing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented individual with specialist knowledge of premises licensing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the Licensing Team.

  • Manage and process applications under the Licensing Act 2003.

  • Ensure accurate data entry and case management using Civica (APP).

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Work independently while contributing to team goals.

Essential Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of the Licensing Act 2003, particularly premises licensing.

  • Proficient in using Civica (APP) system for processing applications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.

  • Proven experience in a similar admin or clerical support role, preferably in a local authority or regulatory environment.
