Field Service Engineer - Forklift Trucks
Location: Covering London, Essex & Kent
Salary: 35,000+ (OTE with overtime & call-out)
Monday to Friday - Days
Company Vehicle + Fuel Card + Paid Travel Time
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing materials handling company. You'll be working on a wide range of forklift trucks, carrying out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics at customer sites across London, Essex, and Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking for a mobile role with autonomy, variety, and excellent earning potential.
Role Description:
Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on customer sites
Fault finding and repairs on a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
Working on diesel, electric, and LPG powered machines
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
Providing excellent customer service and clear communication
Managing your own parts stock and job scheduling
Skills and Experience:
Proven field service experience - ideally with forklift trucks or similar plant equipment (agricultural, construction, HGV, etc.)
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant, Mechanical, or Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
Experience with hydraulics, engines, and basic electrics
Full UK Driving Licence required
