Project Architect Job in Central London

A Project Architect job is now available to join a design-led architecture studio based in Central London, focusing on residential regeneration, conversions, and heritage projects. This role offers the chance to take responsibility across technical stages and work closely with senior team members in a small but experienced practice.

The studio delivers thoughtful architecture that balances practicality and character. Their work spans new-build housing, refurbishment, listed buildings, and strategic masterplans. With a strong pipeline of large-scale residential projects in London, the team is seeking an experienced Architect with confidence in technical delivery.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop technical design packages from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and specialist subcontractors
  • Manage integration between new-build and refurbishment elements
  • Oversee design detailing, sequencing, and material specifications
  • Monitor construction progress and site delivery alongside colleagues
  • Maintain quality and accuracy in technical documentation and contractor communication.

Required Skills & Experience

  • ARB registered with a minimum of 5 years post-Part II experience
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and National Described Space Standards
  • Experience across all RIBA stages, particularly Stages 3 to 5
  • Skilled in AutoCAD with working knowledge of Revit or similar
  • Clear communication and coordination skills across project teams
  • A portfolio demonstrating high-quality residential or mixed-use projects
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Existing experience as a Principal Designer is welcomed, but not essential - training support and funding provided.
