Overview


Due to a period of sustained growth, we are looking for a skilled AV Engineer to join our client. Based out of the Head Office and reporting to the Installation Manager, the role will involve working on customer sites across the UK, delivering high-quality audio-visual services to a wide range of sectors including higher education, health, hospitality, emergency services, museums, and corporate environments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installation: Install, wire, and configure a wide range of AV systems, including Crestron, AMX, and Extron systems, to the highest industry standards.
  • Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Documentation: Concisely report daily activities for submission to project managers, ensuring all documentation is thorough and accurate.
  • Quality Assurance: Work to the highest quality standards, paying close attention to detail and ensuring all work is completed to the client's satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a positive image and strong client relationships.


Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in an audio-visual installation role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual systems, including RS232.
  • Skills: Excellent soldering, crimping, and terminating skills; proficient in creative fault-finding and implementing preventative measures.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.


Desirable Skills

  • Certifications: IPAF, PASMA, CSCS/ECS card holder.
  • Control Systems: Experience with audio-visual control systems.
  • Driving License: Full and clean UK driving license.
  • Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK, hold a valid UK permit, and be willing/able to travel within the UK and overseas when required.
