Are you ready to elevate your career in Securities Operations? Our client, a leading financial institution based Greater London, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Vice President for Fixed Income Settlements.
This is fixed term contract role offers a unique opportunity to be part of the upcoming ECB EU AG FFT project, ensuring the seamless execution of essential operational functions.
What You'll Do:
As the AVP, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting the increasing complexity across trade lifecycle functions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Trade Lifecycle Management: Execute and monitor end-to-end trade processing for Repo, Credit Bonds, and other fixed income instruments. Ensure timely confirmations with counterparties.
- Tri-Party Management: Oversee tri-party repo transactions and liaise with agents (e.g., Euroclear) to facilitate smooth operations.
- BAU Operations & Controls: Maintain daily processes, manage reconciliations, and resolve trade breaks and unmatched trades.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams (Front Office, Risk, Compliance) and build strong relationships with custodians and counterparties.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and participate in system upgrades and strategic initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Education & Skills: Degree educated with 3-5 years of experience in Securities Operations, particularly in Fixed Income Middle Office, Repo, or Settlements.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of fixed income instruments, particularly repos and credit bonds.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with confirmation platforms (e.g., MarkitWire, SWIFT) and settlement systems (e.g., DTCC, Euroclear).
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and the ability to resolve trade breaks and settlement issues effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
