Your new companyThis is a great time to join this growing global consultancy firm based in London that has recently gone through some changes and is looking to expand their finance team. The senior management team are passionate about ensuring they have a positive culture throughout the organisation, ensuring all teams collaborate together and creating a supportive network. They are now actively seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant to take control of the Accounts Payable function on a full-time permanent basis.

Your new roleAs the Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Posting supplier invoices and taking full ownership of the AP ledger
  • Posting credit card receipts and payments to the accounting system
  • Preparing the employee travel cost and project expense uploads to the accounting system
  • Monitoring the finance mailbox and responding to queries accordingly
  • Preparing the weekly supplier invoice payment run
  • Preparing the weekly employee expenses payment run
  • Running the aged creditors report
  • Completing ONS surveys
  • General administration as required

What you'll need to succeedThis opportunity would suit someone who has experience working for an SME in a hands-on position with circa 2-5 years experience in an accounts payable role and can cover both sides of the ledger when required. Ideally, you will be working towards a formal finance qualification (AAT, ACCA or CIMA), but this is not an essential requirement. You must be able to work collaboratively as a team and have a "can do" positive attitude. Someone who is initiative, committed and hardworking is key for this role. Experience using Sage Intacct and a background in consultancy would be a bonus, but again not essential.

What you'll get in returnOn offer is a salary between £32,000-£38,000 per annum depending on experience plus a 10% contractual bonus, 25 days annual leave plus bank holiday with the option to buy/sell, enhanced parental leave, 5% employer pension contribution, life assurance x4 salary, Income protection, Interest free loans, various health insurance benefits and much more.
