Reed are pleased to present a super opportunity for a Junior Bookkeeper to work in a dynamic firm of Chartered Accountants based in Central London.

You will join a team of seven accountants to provide bookkeeping services to clients predominantly from the music/entertainment industry. In addition to musicians and bands, the team works on behalf of record labels, artist management companies, publishers and even some charities. You will work closely with your team reporting into a Manager and a Senior Manager.

Salary: £27,000–£33,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:• Cash book analysis.• Raise sales invoices relating to various live performances, recording advances & recharges.• Credit control.• Input of all purchase & sales invoices onto Xero.• Monthly cash flows on Excel.• Raise cheque, CHAPS, BACS & International payments.• Management commission calculations.• Expense analysis.• Journal entries.• Liaise with high profile clients & High net worth individuals• Liaise with Music Agencies and Management.• Prepare bank & credit card account applications.• Prepare VAT returns for an average of 5 clients per month.• Prepare accounts to trial balance (accruals, prepayments, depreciation)• Royalty statement analysis.• Tour accounting for UK & Worldwide tours.

About you:• AAT nearly/fully qualified or early ACCA• At least 18 months of Bookkeeping experience in a UK-based accountancy practice • Experience of an accounting system such as Xero, Sage, or Quickbooks• Previous experience with media clients would be preferable
