Job Title: Business Analyst (3-Month Contract)

Location: Kensington, LondonContract Type: Hybrid (On-site and Remote)Salary: £311/day

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join the Environment and Neighbourhoods (E&N) Directorate of a local authority in Kensington. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that services are customer-centric and efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business analysis activities within the E&N Directorate, focusing on digital transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a role model for strong business analysis skills and advocate for their importance in achieving transformation objectives.
  • Take ownership of analysis throughout project lifecycles, including building analysis and research plans and executing them effectively.
  • Utilise data to enhance service accessibility and simplicity, conducting research with both internal and end users.
  • Translate user needs into actionable user stories and visualise current and future service processes and journeys using business process modelling techniques.
  • Lead investigations into service gaps and friction points, providing recommendations for service improvement.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of business analysis profession and skills, including proficiency in business process modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with product thinking, product development lifecycle, user-centered design, and service design.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development practices.
  • Proven track record of working in multidisciplinary teams to deliver digital products using agile methodology.
  • Prior experience as a business analyst in teams building products and platforms.
  • Ability to translate user needs into user stories and visualise service journeys effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise development efforts based on identified pain points and objectives.
