We are currently searching for a Director to lead an organisation that provides academic short courses and English Language programmes across various centres in the UK. The engaging and challenging summer camp experiences provide international students aged 8 to 18 with academic inquiry, cultural exploration and career inspiration.

The Director will assume the full day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the summer camps and short courses, including P&L / budget design & ownership to EBITDA level; commercial, financial, and operational activity.

The Director is accountable for the planning and achieving of growth of both revenue and profitability; the quality of the delivery of the programmes and the meeting of compliance and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities - Director:

  • Represent the programmes to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Delivery of quality programmes
  • Identifying new opportunities outside of core UK business areas
  • Delivery of budget to EBITDA level
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports on financial outlook and performance to line manager / C-Suite as required
  • Monitor and provide commentary on financial monthly reports with the Finance Manager
  • Ensure top-level revenue and recruitment targets are met, through various channels including directs (B2C), agents (B2B), and school group network
  • Management of key contracts, including hiring of school and college facilities over the summer months

Person Specification - Director:

  • At least 5 years’ leadership experience, preferably with oversight of both commercial and operational activity in the education sector
  • Experience of working in a target-driven environment
  • Excellent Excel and reporting skills, including knowledge of CRMs
  • Experience of line managing teams within a complex stakeholder environment
  • Experience of working with international students and with agents
