Chef de Partie Job Description
Reports to: Sous Chef and Head Chef
Location: Bentleys Oyster Bar and Grill. Corrigan Collection
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie (CDP) to join the kitchen team at Bentleys Oyster Bar and Grill , part of the Corrigan Collection. As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of preparation, cooking, and presentation in line with the restaurants standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., fish, garnish, pastry) and ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade to ensure smooth and timely service
- Ensure mise en place is prepared and organized ahead of each service
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in your section at all times
- Follow food safety, health & safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
- Assist with stock rotation and proper storage practices (FIFO)
- Take direction from the Sous Chef and Head Chef and contribute positively to team efforts
- Support and help train junior chefs and commis when needed
- Be proactive in learning and developing culinary skills and techniques
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have at least 2-3 years experience in a professional kitchen, preferably at demi chef or CDP level and including some time in a fine dining or high-end restaurant
- Be confident in managing their own section and consistently producing high-quality dishes
- Have formal culinary training or equivalent kitchen experience
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Be able to work effectively under pressure and as part of a close-knit team
- Possess good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
- Have strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Be eager to grow within a professional kitchen environment
