The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Night Chef to join our talented culinary team. You will play a key role in delivering a 24-hour in-room dining service and supporting the brigade with preparation for the following day.

As a Night Chef or Chef de Partie, you will help take our guests on a sumptuous culinary journey, showcasing creativity and flair by combining quality British ingredients with a cosmopolitan mix of international influences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard during the night shift, focusing primarily on in-room dining orders and early breakfast service.
  • Support the kitchen brigade by completing food preparation and mise en place for the following day.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to a consistently high standard and in line with hotel recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Work independently and unsupervised, ensuring a smooth and efficient overnight operation.
  • Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and ensure proper food storage and labelling procedures.
  • Contribute to menu ideas and continuous improvement of the night service offering.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience working as a Night Chef or Chef de Partie, ideally within a 5-star hotel or other luxury restaurant/hospitality environment.
  • Professionally trained with a minimum NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisines, particularly Italian or modern European influences.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a high workload independently.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy, with a strong eye for detail and quality.
  • Able to work night shifts 7.30pm to 5.30am, including weekends and public holidays.
