Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef at Steak and Company, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation are consistently maintained. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking to ensure quality and consistency
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to achieve excellence
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Assist in the development of new menu items and specials

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Experience in managing and leading a team of kitchen staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
