We are working with a boutique Bridging Lender based in Mayfair, London. With a track record of providing innovative financing solutions, they specialise in bridging loans to facilitate property transactions, development projects, and investment opportunities.

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, strategic growth and ensuring the seamless execution of business activities within the business.

Reporting directly to the CEO, your primary focus will be on refining internal processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless coordination across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to operational teams, ensuring the smooth functioning of all business operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall operational excellence.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operational team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Take on the role of Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, effectively managing operational risks.
  • Take on the role of ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations, safeguarding individuals' privacy rights and promoting a culture of data protection within the organisation.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of company strategic plans, aligning operational goals with overall business objectives.
  • Develop, budget and implement marketing strategy
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse operational data, and prepare regular reports for the executive team, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive a culture of innovation within the organisation, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance operational processes.
  • Ensure a customer-centric approach in all operational activities, striving for exceptional customer satisfaction.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within the financial services industry, preferably within a lending or banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of bridging lending operations, regulations, and market trends.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimisation, change management, and driving operational efficiency.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving business success.
