Job Opportunity: Head Barista

Location: North London

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Join the vibrant team at the intersection of coffee, wine, and music! This is an exciting opening of a new coffee shop with an adjoining natural wine bar and music venue in North London. The coffee bar has its own unique entrance and operating hours, providing a cozy haven for coffee enthusiasts seeking exceptional pour-over brews.

As the Head Barista, you'll spearhead the coffee program within the Natural Wine Bar. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional pour-over coffees and latte art while also serving pastries and confectioneries. You'll leverage your extensive barista experience to create memorable coffee experiences for the customers. Additionally, you'll play a key role in supplier management, pricing, and handling invoices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coffee program within the Natural Wine Bar.

  • Prepare and serve pour-over and espresso-based coffee beverages to the highest standards.

  • Manage relationships with suppliers, handle pricing, and oversee invoicing.

  • Train and mentor new team members as the team grows.

  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

  • Assist with other tasks as needed during the soft opening phase.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a barista, with a strong focus on pour-over coffee and latte art.

  • Proficiency in operating, maintaining and cleaning espresso machines.

  • Experience in supplier management, pricing, and invoicing.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to start part-time and transition to full-time as needed.

  • Flexibility to assist with various tasks during the soft opening phase.

  • Sponsorship available for candidates from Australia, Holland, Germany, or other countries with a strong coffee culture.
