GPS are recruiting for an experienced CAM programmer (SolidCam) in Hammersmith. As a Senior CNC Machinist, you will be expected to set, operate and edit programs for 3 & 5 axis milling centers using Heidenhain controls, operate die sinking EDM and wire EDM, as well as ability to operate CNC lathe. The company machine small batches of bespoke high-end components, so we are looking for a proactive individual who has technical ability to read from drawings as well as understanding CNC programming.
Desired Experience/Skills Required
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller, Programmer, Setter and Operator using Heidenhain controls.
- Experience of working within a low volume batch environment.
- Able to read from drawings and assist programmers.
- Ability to run multiple machines.
- Proactive and a team player.
- Knowledge of Agie Charmilles Die Sinking EDM, EDM wire cut machines using FANUC controls,
SolidWorks CAD & Solid CAM is an advantage, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
Salary Circa 40-45K (Neg on experience)
