SENIOR CREDIT RISK ANALYST

UP TO £65,000

LONDON or MANCHESTER

In this role you will use analytical insight to drive decisions and change to how the business operates. This role will be crucial to investigating and implementing loss forecast and payment support strategies optimising both company and customer outcomes to drive growth within the business.

THE COMPANY

This company is an auto finance fin-tech who are aiming to make car buying a simple and straightforward experience. The company is a rapidly growing business and recently supported 10,000 customers purchase a car. This is an exciting time to join the business as they move from the start-up to growth phase of their journey.

THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Develop and refine the company's impairment and loss forecasting, utilising both internal and external data sources such as credit reference agencies.
  • Monitor and discern patterns and shifts in impairment results, bolstering model governance and documentation practices.
  • Offer managerial and operational insights on performance and efficiency, delivering presentations to stakeholders across all organisational levels, including Executive Committee members.
  • Foster robust relationships with stakeholders throughout the company, effectively communicating insights and strategic decisions to various business units, developers, operational teams, and management.
  • Contribute to the advancement of analytical models by employing state-of-the-art data science techniques and methodologies.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyse data pertaining to portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with portfolio and collections strategy expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, including third-party entities, to optimise customer outcomes.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years' experience working as a credit risk analyst.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL. Python would also be desirable.
  • Knowledge of impairment and provisioning, ideally IFRS9.
  • Strong numerical degree from a Russel Group University.
