The roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to take responsibility for the management and maintenance of the RADA buildings and help ensure that we can offer the best possible facilities for our students and staff.

As Estates Manager, you will be responsible for managing building projects, the maintenance of the RADA Buildings and assisting with health and safety. You will also have responsibility for overseeing the work undertaken by external contractors and service providers and the Planned Preventative Maintenance contract. You will need to have a solid understanding and experience of building management, maintenance and health and safety. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to provide specialist advice and guidance to others. You will also be able to work well with other managers to deliver integrated solutions within budget.

The teamYou will be line managing the Facilities Assistant, supervising the external contractors and liaising with the Venue Manager as well as other members of the wider RADA staffing group to ensure that the standard of the work is of the highest and safest quality.

As an Operations Department manager, you may be asked to represent RADA externally and should keep abreast of developments within the relevant industry areas.

This role requires a committed, self-motivated person who works well in a team and can lead diplomatically and confidently. It will require evening work and some weekends.

The candidate should have excellent scheduling and negotiation skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will have experience within the industry and preferably also within the education world.
