Live in Housekeeper job, Belgravia
A wonderful client is looking for a confident live-in housekeeper to support them with their semi-formal family home. A small Pug dog completes the family of 5. A full time Monday - Friday daily Nanny is employed and also a weekend Nanny. The Housekeeper must be child friendly.
Duties to include:
- Daily Housekeeping (6 storeys)
- Care of delicate items and fine fabrics - to include antiques, crystal, silver, and copper
- Laundry, linen, and ironing
- Clothing and wardrobe maintenance, to include caring for delicate garments and seasonal changes
- Prepare a light breakfast for the family
- Greeting and looking after visitors and guests
- Walking the dog three times a day, locally and access to enclosed private garden square nearby
- Pet sitting when the family travel
- Twice weekly babysitting (to remain in house whilst children sleep; during your working days only)
- Running errands and provisioning for the household as needed
- Evening turn down and kitchen tidy
- Watering and refreshing indoor flowers and front window boxes
- Occasional help with dinner parties and entertaining
- Occasional support with packing and unpacking of Principals' luggage post holidays or business travel
- Ability and willingness to travel with the family a few times per year is desired (UK, Europe, and USA)
The ideal candidate will be well-presented, self-motivated, flexible, discreet, have high standards, and is happy to learn/follow instruction when required. As the family have young children, someone who is cheerful and enjoys being around children is a must.
Start date: June 2024
Working Week: Tuesday - Saturday (Days off Sunday and Monday)
Working hours: 7am - 7pm with breaks
Salary: £40 - £45k depending on experience
Accommodation: Lower Level, large ensuite bedroom with own separate entrance. Additional weekly food stipend.
