Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team and support four children aged 3-4 years old with diverse learning needs, particularly focusing on speech and language development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of EHCP's for each child, tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to facilitate speech and language development, using specialised techniques and resources.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes social interaction, communication, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate effectively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure consistency and coherence in learning experiences.
- Monitor and record progress, documenting observations and achievements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Understanding of early childhood development and familiarity with strategies for supporting speech and language acquisition.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools would be advantageous.
