Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help.

  2. Small Group Sessions: Lead small group activities and interventions to enhance students' learning experiences.

  3. Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment by implementing the school's behaviour management policies.

  4. Individualised Support: Work with students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they receive the necessary support and accommodations.

  5. Assessment and Feedback: Assist in assessing student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.

  6. Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties related to classroom preparation and organisation.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Previous Child-Based Experience: Prior experience working with children or young adults is essential. This could include volunteering, tutoring, or other relevant roles.

  • DBS on the Update Service: You must possess an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or be willing to undergo one before starting the position.

  • Passion for Education: A genuine enthusiasm for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with both students and staff.

  • Team Player: A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and adapt to the needs of the school community.
