Are you passionate about mathematics and eager to make a difference in the lives of young learners? We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic Maths department at a leading SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Merton, London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Maths department in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work closely with students, providing one-on-one assistance and small group support.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in planning and preparing educational materials.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and development of students with SEMH needs.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in Maths (a degree in Maths or a related field is preferred).
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting, ideally with SEMH students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
