SEND Teaching Assistant - Lewisham

  • Full-time - Monday to Friday 8.30 - 4pm

We are currently looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who is a dedicated and passionate individual looking for a long-term role in a fantastic SEND setting in the borough of Lewisham. Our school caters for children and young adults from 11-16 years old with varied SEND needs such as Autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.

As a full-time Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced educators, providing support in the classroom and helping to create a positive learning environment for all students. Your duties will include working one-on-one with students who require additional assistance, assisting with classroom activities and lesson planning, and helping to develop individual education plans.

The Person/Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs
  • Experience or willingness to assist with personal care if needed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 3-6 months
