Title: Maintenance ElectricianRole: PermanentLocation: Hospital Facility in Central LondonShorterm Group are looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician in Central London. As a Permanent Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems within the hospital facility. Your primary focus will be on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure the safety and comfort of patients, staff, and visitors.Shift: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm (40 hours paid per week)Salary: From 36k - 40k Salary (Salary negotiable dependent upon experience)Responsibilities:* Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, emergency generators, and backup systems.* Respond promptly to electrical service requests and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.* Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and wiring, following safety protocols and standards.* Install new electrical equipment and systems as needed, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.* Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment inspections.* Participate in emergency response drills and procedures, providing support to ensure the continuity of electrical services during critical situations.* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in electrical maintenance to enhance job knowledge and performance.* Adhere to all hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to electrical work, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.* Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members or apprentices to develop their skills in electrical maintenance.Qualifications:* NVQ/City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering (level 3)* 18th Edition* 2391 Inspection and testing beneficial. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in a healthcare environment.* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment.* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.If you are interested in this position, please contact Natalie from Shorterm Group on or email
