The role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a communications and events marketeer to join a fast-growing, impact-driven organisation playing a pivotal role in the continued growth of offshore wind and the global energy transition.
The ideal candidate has brilliant communications, and event delivery skills and enthusiasm for clean energy and sustainability. You will have the opportunity to travel globally and able to work independently in a predominantly remote-working environment, with some in-person meetings in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for a diverse portfolio encompassing content creation, content management, event design and delivery, and media monitoring.
- As part of a global, multidisciplinary team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in projects of varied complexity and scale.
- Manage a pipeline of external engagements, including both communications outputs as well as team travel related to external events and conferences.
- Oversee day-to-day brand management and communication needs and ensure consistent and compelling messaging that aligns with their mission.
- Write sharp, engaging copy, including press releases, and collaborate with the team to translate policy materials into communications-oriented products.
- Track and analyse the performance of communication strategies providing regular reports on effectiveness.
- Support the team by disseminating communications materials internally, primarily related to operational activities.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in roles related to communications, marketing, Public Relations
- A solid background in the energy industry, politics, government, think tanks, civil society would be desired
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to various audiences.
- An interest in energy, climate change, conservation, international affairs, or diplomacy
- Fluent in English; proficiency in another language is an asset
