Graduate/Trainee Mortgage Consultant - London Premier Mortgage Broker

£30,000 starting base salary (£33k once CeMap qualified). Attractive performance-based bonus structure with OTE of £40 - 45,000 OTE

Our client is a highly respected Whole of Market brokerage with 25 years experience. Headquartered in London, they are currently seeking a skilled and passionate trainee to work alongside their successful team of advisers, managing their vast cient base across London and the South East.

This is a unique opportunity to train with a renowned broker, ultimately gaining access to a strong and continuously expanding book of business with the potential to earn consistently high levels of commission.Our client specialises in the HNW / Mass Affluent market and as such are seeking trainees with exceptional communication and client service skills and a genuine passion for the industry.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be someone who’s already working within the industry either as an estate agent, mortgage administrator or trainee mortgage adviser, looking to take those first steps towards becoming a fully qualified Mortgage Consultant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, with a proven strong work ethic. Ideally, they will have some understanding of the current market trends and a thirst to gain further knowledge and understanding.

This is a very unique opportunity to embark on an in-depth training programme with a genuine market leader, joining a truly supportive team with many benefits including the option of hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

This comprehensive training programme is flexible and designed to meet the needs of each individual as they progress toward achieving Competent Advisor Status (CAS). The programme is split into 3 phases and responsibilities will change with the completion of each phase. Initially you will be required to:

  • Actively assist the brokers assigned to you, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Handle administration, progression, and case management tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Gain a thorough understanding of, and ensure adherence to, all regulatory requirements.

If successful you will progress to completing your CeMap qualifications and ultimately begin taking on your own client base and new business enquires to achieve full CAS status.

Responsibilities will then include:

  • Consulting with clients to discuss their mortgage needs and financial goals
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on mortgage options, rates, and terms
  • Assisting clients in completing mortgage applications and gathering necessary documentation
  • Evaluating client creditworthiness and financial information to determine loan eligibility
  • Collaborating with lenders and underwriters to ensure timely processing and approval of mortgage applications
  • Staying updated on industry regulations and changes in mortgage products and programs
  • Building and maintain relationships with referral partners
  • Providing exceptional customer service throughout the entire mortgage process

Experience:

  • Degree educated, ideally in finance, economics, business or a related field
  • At least 1 years’ experience working within the mortgage/property/finance industry
  • Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the mortgage industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritising effectively.
  • Competent computer literacy and professional telephone manner
