Business Development Manager - Bridging Finance

Reporting to the Managing Director.

Our client is a multi-award-winning, short-term property lender that is now looking for an experienced Bridging Finance Business Development Manager (BDM) due to business growth. This unique opportunity is ideal for a highly motivated and driven individual who may have some frustrations within their current firm and would like the ability to work with genuine people, competitive products, and earn more money. You will be given a large database of broker relationships to nurture and will also be expected to be proactive in bringing new relationships onboard. We would like someone that can think "outside of the box" and is not afraid to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage deal enquiries directly with introducers. Think through how to structure complex cases so that they are aligned with the credit policy.
  • Plan and maintain a strategic diary of appointments to develop credible and trust-based relationships with Intermediaries.
  • Actively seek and grow new sources of business from inbound enquiry, broker registration requests, existing contracts, industry journals and other means.
  • Maximise Bridging & Buy-to-let sales from introducer base by building relationships, identifying competitive advantages and other opportunities such as product innovation.
  • Achieve agreed quarterly & annual targets for each lending division set out and agreed with the Managing Director (Sales).
  • Attend and present at exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and other opportunities as required.

Candidate:

  • The market has been challenging. We would like someone that has a positive outlook and is willing to get stuck in and make things happen!
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience. (We cannot consider jumpy CV’s. We would like to see some stability within your career.)
  • A Bridging & Property Finance background is highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate on different levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Confident presenting in front of small and large audiences.
  • Excellent presentation (verbal/written) and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate, build trust and influence at a senior level.
  • Demonstrable professional integrity and a strong work ethic.

Package:

  • Salary up to £75k.
  • Uncapped bonus paid quarterly and annually.
