Commercial Finance Director

This role is a key analytical and business partnering role to provide leadership, financial insights and recommendations to drive better strategic and operational decisions across the business.

Priorities of this role includes supporting the development & investment teams in strategy with consistent and robust financial support, influence commercial decision making across operations and driving standardisation and efficiency of processes across the organisation.

Key Accountabilities:

• Business partnering by providing reliable guidance and support to investment, development, and project teams.
• Analysis and provision of sound financial and business insights
• Identify KPI's and metrics that can aid and improves assessment of business performance.
• Conduct financial modelling and analysis to assess the impact of alternative project scenarios.
• Development and investment reporting: reviewing the pipelines ensuring all data is robust and reflecting the latest positions.
• Act as a liaison between finance and other functional areas (e.g. UK Ops, Strategic Insights, Customer Groups, Transformation, Treasury and Investor Relations, etc) ensuring effective sharing of ideas and communication of key business work streams.
• Identifying gaps and duplications in processes and adding vale by standardisation of processes by implementing and driving adoption of technology to create more resilience within the organisation.

The successful candidate will be a lateral thinker that has a deep understanding of operational finance, analysis and financial modelling capable of creating, developing and collaborating on new ideas and challenges. Holding a professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA CPA) you will be a confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
